Teams (Equipes Notre Dame) for the Trans-atlantic super-region.

Celebrating 60 years of Teams in Great Britain

Our Celebration of 60 years of Teams in Britain was a wonderful event with 300 people including four bishops, 10 priest chaplains, spiritual counsellors and many couples who have been in Teams.  Canon John Udris of Oscott College and chaplain to two teams, gave the homily, encouraging couples to “abide” in the Lord.

New teams in Greenford and Banbury, just finished pilotting, were commissioned.  The new southern Regional Couple, Paul and Annette O’Beirne, were commissioned as Bernard and Susan Kelly handed over the candle for the region.

After Mass we enjoyed a great time for chat and afternoon tea.  It was super to hear from Harry and Clothilde Meigh’s daughter Priscilla.  Harry and Clothilde started the first team, Cheltenham 1, in 1959.  Priscilla recalled some of the events in their household.  Thanks to Priscilla, the organisers and all who travelled to London to celebrate.
