Teams (Equipes Notre Dame) for the Trans-atlantic super-region.

Archives Details

The Transatlantic Super-Regional Archive is in the process of developing a digital archive of Teams records.

This is important now that Teams has been going for over 60 years, and the founding couples are no longer around to remind us of how Teams started.

The archive currently has over 2,100 items which have been catalogued according to ISAD-G, the International Standard for Archival Description, and digitised using Optical Character Recognition Software. There are currently 29 collections in the archive, which include a range of material relating to Teams in the Transatlantic Super-Region and further afield, conferences at both regional and international level, historical material, and a large collection of Teams newsletters.

One of the collections contains typed and handwritten correspondence between Harry and Clotilde Meigh from the early years of Teams in England in the 1950’s and 1960’s, and another contains Harry and Clotilde’s correspondence sent and received during the course of their time as a Pilot Couple in the 1960’s – 1980’s. Many of these documents are in French and may contain some interesting insights into the early development of English-speaking teams. The archive would be grateful for help in the translation of these documents, so if anyone has an interest in Teams history and a thorough knowledge of the French language then we would love to hear from you.

The archive would welcome the opportunity to expand the collections, in particular the newsletters collection. If you have any physical or digital material that you would like to donate to the archive, or if you could assist with translating some of our French documents, then please contact the Archivist to discuss the options available.

We are working to develop online access to the archive, so please bear with us, but we would love to hear from you if you have any questions, or are interested in the Archive’s collections.
